East Saugatuck Prayer Requests
One of our core values is that prayer is essential for effective ministry. We take prayer seriously and it is an integral part of our ministry at East Saugatuck. "Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven. - James 5." In the spirit of James 5, East Saugatuck Elders are available to pray with anyone in need of physical and spiritual healing—please don’t hesitate to contact any Elder if you are in need of prayer!
You can stay up to date on any prayer requests here. If you have an item that requires prayer, you can also post your requests at the bottom of this page.
June 18 Prayer Requests
Please keep Barb Jager in your prayers on Monday morning as she is scheduled to undergo a pacemaker implantation procedure on her heart to control her rhythm. Barb is back at Appledorn and is feeling somewhat better, so we pray that the pacemaker would help her to regain more strength again. We pray God's peace over her as she prepares for Monday.
Happy to report that Scott McIntyre's procedure yesterday to remove blood clots from his lungs was successful, and he is doing well so far. They weren't able to get all of the clots, and Scott will be monitored for a few days yet, but with the help of blood thinners, he should be able to return to normal activities. We pray for God's continued healing, strength and peace for Scott & Kay.
Scott & Kay's son-in-law Josh had his brain surgery on Monday, and things are going well with his recovery so far. He was scheduled to return today to Mary Free Bed for more therapy. We are thankful for his progress in this long road of recovery, and we pray God would give him healing and strength.
