East Saugatuck Prayer Requests
One of our core values is that prayer is essential for effective ministry. We take prayer seriously and it is an integral part of our ministry at East Saugatuck. "Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven. - James 5." In the spirit of James 5, East Saugatuck Elders are available to pray with anyone in need of physical and spiritual healing—please don’t hesitate to contact any Elder if you are in need of prayer!
You can stay up to date on any prayer requests here. If you have an item that requires prayer, you can also post your requests at the bottom of this page.
Maritza Voorhorst
Wayne Bakker - 2023-09-17Our sister Maritza Voorhorst down in TX has been feeling badly for a while. She and Carl have been to many doctors and have had many tests done. This week they learned Maritza has a large mass on her kidney, and it is malignant. Carl says some cards and such would cheer her up, so I'm going to give you all her address: 23061 Shakespeare Dr., Magnolia, Texas 77355 - If you’d like to send a card.
Let’s pray for God’s peace and strength through all of this for Maritza, and that the cancer would be able to be treated effectively.
